AML / KYC Policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026

Privacy Policy Terms & Conditions Risk Disclosure Acceptable Use Policy Proof of Reserve
Read this before assuming CodexaCoin has "done KYC" on anyone. What's described below is deliberately limited, and this page says so plainly rather than overstating it. This is not a substitute for a real AML compliance program reviewed by a qualified compliance professional, which would be required before operating a custodial financial service of any real scale in most jurisdictions, including Pakistan.

1. What we actually collect, and why

Signing up for a staking account (required only for the custodial staking pool, referrals, and push notifications) asks for:

  • Full legal name
  • Date of birth
  • ID type — national ID card or passport
  • ID number — encrypted at rest

This is collected as a basic, good-faith identification step for a financial-adjacent product — not because we've built or purchased real identity verification.

2. This information is self-attested, not verified

None of the information above is checked against any government database, document scan, liveness check, or third-party identity verification provider. We do not confirm that the ID number you enter is real, that it belongs to you, or that the name and date of birth match any official record. If you type in fabricated information, the system will accept it exactly as it would accept real information — we have no current technical means of telling the difference.

This is a deliberate, disclosed limitation of the current system, not an oversight we're hiding. A production financial service handling meaningful volume would need real identity verification (document capture, liveness detection, sanctions/PEP screening, and similar) — this project has explicitly chosen not to build or buy that yet, and says so here rather than implying otherwise.

3. What this means practically

  • Do not treat a CodexaCoin account as evidence of anyone's real-world identity, for any purpose.
  • Do not rely on this process to satisfy a KYC/AML obligation your own business or organization may have — it does not verify identity in the way regulated KYC processes do.
  • We reserve the right to request additional verification, suspend, or terminate accounts where we have reason to believe the information provided is false, or where activity appears linked to fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity — even though we can't proactively verify identity at signup.

4. Sanctions and prohibited use

You may not use CodexaCoin's staking service if you are located in, or a resident of, any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are on any applicable sanctions list. We do not currently automatically screen for this given the limitations in section 2 — this is a stated requirement of use, not a technically enforced one today.

5. Suspicious activity

We may monitor account and staking-pool activity for patterns consistent with fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity, and may report such activity to relevant authorities where legally required or appropriate, using whatever information (self-attested or otherwise) we have available.

6. Data protection

The ID number you provide is encrypted at rest. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail on how this data is stored, retained, and how to request its deletion.
